Lavasurge® is designed to be used as an adjunct preventive measure to reduce infections in the surgical area. It is a sterile solution intended for intraoperative wound irrigation. It is composed of a Ringer solution and contains 0.04% polyhexanide as an antimicrobial agent to prevent microorganism growth on dressings and the solution, as well as Macrogol (0.02 g/L) that improves the wetting of tissue surfaces.
